Position Description/Outline:
Communications & Social Media Manager
We are looking for a talented and experienced communications and social media manager to join our team and help us achieve our goals. In this role you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing effective communication strategies that align with our vision and mission. You will also oversee the creation and distribution of various communication materials, such as newsletters, events, social media posts, website content, and more.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing communication plans and campaigns that support our objectives and enhance our brand awareness and reputation
- Managing and coordinating all internal and external communication channels, including media relations, social media, website, email and monthly newsletters.
- Writing, editing, and proofreading clear, engaging, and persuasive communication materials for various audiences and platforms
- Monitoring and evaluating the impact and effectiveness of our communication activities and reporting on the results and insights
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, such as members, sponsors, event speakers and partners.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Creativity and innovation, with the ability to generate and implement new and original ideas
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate communication initiatives
- Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate a team and collaborate with the broader ICF Australasian communications team members.
- Knowledge and proficiency in various communication tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Office, Canva, WordPress, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.
- Familiarity with SEO, web analytics, and social media metrics
